Known as the pink city, this city gained prominence under the reign of a ruling class known as the Kacchawas, rulers of the estate of Amber. The large number of tourist attractions of <strong><a href="http://www.tourismjaipur.org">Jaipur </a></strong>includes some of the most splendid buildings in <strong>Rajasthan</strong>. The most famous among these is undoubtedly the Hawa Mahal. However, the tours of Jaipur also include visits to the other notable sites of the city, one of which is the <strong>Central Museum.</strong></p>

    (15 kms.) At a distance of 15kms from Jaipur, stands the imposing Jaigarh Fort. Also called the Victory Fort, the Jaigarh Fort stands in the midst of thorn-scrub hills that impart a sterner look to the already forbidding Fort. As one approaches the fort from the steep road that leads to the main gate, the Dungar Darwaza, one cannot help but remark at the amazing view it offers of the city below.</td>

    (15 kms.) cresting a hill about 600 ft. above the city. The walls of the fort run along the ridge and within are architectural beauties like Hawa Mandir and Madhvendra Bhawan. The Nahargarh Fort was built by Sawai Raja Jai Singh in 1734. Since Jaipur was his capital, the Nahargarh Fort was strategically important and was built as a means of bolstering the defense of Amer.</td>

      (10 kms.) This holy pilgrimage centre has a temple dedicated to the Sun God (Which is the only one of its kind in this part of the country) and natural spring.     The Laxmi Narayan is located in the South of Jaipur, and was built by the Birla family, which is a major industrialist family of India . This is why, the temple is also called the &#8216;Birla Mandir&#8217;. It is situated quite close to the Moti Doongri fort, which was converted to a small palace by Ram Singh II and Gayatri Devi. Keeping in mind the secular nature of the country, the temple has three domes, which represent different approaches to religion.</td>

The solemn dignity of it red sandstone and white marble pavilions, when reflected in the lake at the foot hill, is a sight to behold.</td>
